出町さんと出合って１２年になります。
ギャラリーのスタートからの長い付き合いで、陶芸に触れる時の基準となってしまった作家、
私達の陶芸観に決定的な影響を与えてくれた作家です。
多くの発見、多くの驚き、多くの刺激をもたらしてくれました。
陶芸を超えて、形の有り様、形の存在の仕方、線の意味、ものをつくり出すということ、
教えられます。
（今なお）感性は新鮮で、求める情熱は熱く、高みへの思いが強いがために満足という安住を
彼は放棄するかのようです。
老婆心ながらもう少し気楽にいけばと思うのですが・・・、
そうでないところが彼たる由縁なのでしょう。
新作の飾り棚に出町さんの作品が納まりました。
織部の湯呑み。小さな造形の中に多くの表現がなされています。
出町さんは毎回なんらかの試みを見せてくれます。
今回は２層の粘土板を一体にプレスして作り出される、重なり、ずれ、そしてエッジの不連続線。
計算と偶然、作意と無作為、拡張と制御イメージを呼び覚ます造形。
出町流の挑発・・・？
片口３点。食卓に楽しさとアートな空気を作り出してくれます。
徳利？花瓶？釉薬のペインティング。
お猪口、今回はいつにもまして絵画的。立体と平面のコラボレーションを試みているように
思われます。
器である以上表現が過多になってはいけない、主役の料理が死んでしまってはいけない。
そうしたことも考えつつ、彼は試行錯誤を続けていくのでしょう。
